Community Crisis Response is compassionate care delivered by unarmed community members who are trained to help.

Groups of people who dispatch these responses are called community crisis response teams, or CCRTs.

Common responses coordinated by CCRTs include

  • Administering mental health first aid

  • De-escalating a crisis

  • Delivering basic needs, like food and water

  • Reversing an opioid overdose

  • Safety checks

We work with CCRTs to build the tools and foster the relationships needed to sustain successful programs.
